Overview

The gall bladder is a small pear-shaped organ on the underside of the liver that is used to store bile. Bile juice is made in the liver and is stored in the gall bladder until it is needed to help the digestion of fat.

Body waste and toxins deposited or retained in organs, blood and inside free places of our body, causes all type of diseases so cleaning of body in every condition guarantees a best health.

Gall bladder gets diseased due to an unhealthy diet and lifestyle. This leads to an imbalance of the acid-alkali balance in the body which causes the cholesterol to precipitate in the gall bladder leading to stone formation. Over time, these may get infected and lead to an acute inflammation, pain, fever etc. A stone may move ahead into a narrow passage or the duct and get stuck leading to severe agony.

Gallstones

Gallstones are formed in liver. They travel through little tiny tubes called biliary ducts. But most of them end up in your gallbladder. When they got collected in gall bladder then they had seen as big stone like 10mm, 15mm in ultrasound or X-RAY. These stone are not hard in nature instead soft like rubber pieces. Large amounts of population have this but most of the time they are silent and don’t have any symptoms. If only small pieces are present then they don’t get detected in X-Ray or Ultrasound.

These stones actually formed from various small particles include cholesterol, bile salts and bile pigment.

Types of Stones

Cholesterol Stones - Stones are of yellow green colour made up of mainly cholesterol and some part is bile salt. It is most common type.

Pigment Stones - These are small dark colour stones made up of too much bilburin in bile. These are mainly developed due to liver cirrhosis.

Why risk of diseases increases after Gall Bladder removal?

Gallbladder removal is the most common surgery in World. Every year, more than a million people undergo surgery to remove their gallbladders because of gallstones. Approximately 80% of all gallstones show no symptoms and may remain “silent” for years. Once symptoms arise, they persist and increase in frequency.

Liver secrets bile juice continually and stores in Gall Bladder and it will come out when body requires it. But when it is not present the juice will flow directly into intestine whether body requires it or not. This condition gives rise to diseases like indigestion, dyspepsia and other stomach problems.

Digestive System with and without Gall Bladder

As many as 10% of patients coming out of surgery with stones remaining in the bile ducts according to the U.S. National Institute of Health. Bile duct injury is another risk. According to the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons:

“Complications of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy are infrequent, but include bleeding, infection, pneumonia, blood clots, or heart problems. Unintended injury to an adjacent structure such as the common bile duct or duodenum may occur and may require another surgical procedure to repair it. Bile leakage into the abdomen from the tubular channels leading from the liver to the intestine has been described.”

The other treatment in conventional medicine is gallstone dissolution by different drugs. These drugs only work on smaller cholesterol stones and may cause diarrhoea, hepatic injury and increase in plasma cholesterol level, nausea, pain or fever.
